Tomorrow, my son, our son, turns six weeks old. I cannot begin to describe how impossibly fast and how tediously slow the last several weeks have passed, all at once. I think that now, six weeks in, I am finally starting to understand a little bit about motherhood. I am slowly beginning to feel a little more comfortable in this new role that has begun to define my life. The first four or so weeks were so trying and so exhausting, but it seems that now we are kind of starting to get into a groove and I am kind of starting to like it. :)

Staying home hasn’t been easy for me, and Graham hasn’t been the easiest baby, but things are getting SO much better than they were the first few weeks. We are really starting to have fun being parents and Graham is just awesome. His fussy periods are getting fewer and further between, and he has begun to show us more and more of his little personality. His current favorite activies are having mama carry him from room to room so that he can stare at  all of the fans, going outside, and listening to dad play the guitar. He has also recently discovered his tongue and has begun sticking it out at us! He smiles often, but we have yet to decide whether they are “real” or not, as they are often followed by ripping farts! OH and the farts… Who knew that a baby could have real, live MAN farts that actually stink! This makes Sam very proud.

To be quite honest, this has been the hardest thing I have ever done, but as they say, it is all worth it. I am SO in love with him. He is absolutely beautiful and I could not be more overwhelmed with love for him. And to see him and Sam together just blows me over.. Our house is just one big fussy farty love fest these days!

To catch all of you up on the last six weeks, here are some pictures.. I can’t believe how much he has already grown…

I am glad that he’s starting to be less fussy and more enjoyable. He’s a cutie pie- and he has so much hair too! :) I am glad you’ll be coming back to work though; we’ve definitely missed you. I love all the pictures of him. It’s amazing how quickly babies change!
